Estate Planning services include consultation with the client in all aspects of lifetime wealth transfers, mitigation of estate, gift, income and property taxes, incapacity issues and planning for death.  We are knowledgeable in the preparation of all documents including revocable and irrevocable trusts, charitable remainder and lead trusts, qualified personal residence trusts, grantor retained annuity and income trusts, wills and powers of attorney.

Probate and Trust Administration services include advising personal representatives and trustees in all legal and tax issues resulting from a person’s death or incapacity.  These services usually  involve the inventory and valuation of assets, providing statutory notification to trust beneficiaries and heirs, responding to creditor issues, preparation of federal and state estate tax returns, preparation of federal and state fiduciary income tax returns, allocation and distribution of trust assets to irrevocable trusts and beneficiaries, preparation of accountings, titling of assets, preparation and filing of necessary court documents, and advising the client in all areas of trust and estate administration.

Trust & Estate Litigation services include trust and will contests, constructive and resulting trust litigation, defending and prosecuting personal representative and trustee liability suits, contested accountings, modification of irrevocable trusts, and beneficiary litigation.  Our attorneys have tried numerous cases before a wide variety of Superior Courts of California.

Conservatorship and Guardianship services include initiation of conservatorship proceedings for adults and guardianship proceedings for minors, preparation of biennial accounts and reports to the court, and continued representation of conservators, guardians and other interested persons for the duration of these matters.

Mediation and Arbitration services include all forms of reference in contested trust and estate matters, including serving as a referee in settlement conferences, discovery disputes and evidentiary hearings.

Other Services include representation of trust and estate beneficiaries and creditors, consultation regarding estate, gift, fiduciary income, pension and property tax matters and expert witness engagements in the trust and estate fields.
